OSR Rapeseed (Brassica napus var. oleifera) is not found in the wild. It is cultivated in Western and Central Europe, China, India, Canada, Ukraine, and Belarus. Rapeseed is sometimes called the “northern olive” because the oil obtained from its seeds rivals noble olive oil in both taste and nutritional properties.

Rapeseed Oil is one of the most popular types of vegetable oil in Europe. It is a valuable food product and one of the most balanced vegetable oils in terms of its composition. Rapeseed oil features a balanced combination of saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated fatty acids. Beyond its culinary uses, the oil is also widely used in biodiesel production.

Rapeseed Meal (Expeller). A by-product of high-quality oil production is meal — a product that contains 7-12% fat after the oil extraction process. Meal is produced only at those plants where the mechanical pressing method is used. Rapeseed meal serves as an energy and protein feed for cattle but can also be effectively used alongside other protein feeds in poultry and swine diets.

The farm is also engaged in the sale of heifers. The productivity of first-calf heifers in 2010 amounted to 5,748 kg of milk.
